HG Govinda Prabhu - visiting from Mumbai, INDIA - Key speaker at India Cultural Fest 2010

Dear Devotees,

Hare Krishna!

With great joy, we would like to announce that the key speaker at ICF-2010 is HG Govinda Prabhu, one of the senior leaders from ISKCON temple in Mumbai. Govinda prabhu is learned scholar in the matter of Bhakti Sastras. His lectures on mahabharat and Gita keep the audience spell bound. He has been a life-long brahmacari and has been teaching Gita for over 20 yrs now. He is a great source of inspiration for 1000's of devotees all around the world.

He will be speaking on the topic: "GIFTS of Indian Culture"

Due to heavy demand of his presence all around the country, we had to struggle to bring him here. By lord's mercy, we will be having him here.

A great vaisnava poet has sung - "Gangara sparsa hoila pascate pavan darsana pavitra koro ei tomare guna" - O vaisnava Thakur (devotee of the lord), by coming in touch of ganga waters one becomes purify, but simply by getting your darsan or being able to see you one can become purified of all one's sins.

Please please take this wonderful opportunity to hear this Sadhu.

Also note: Govinda prabhu is reknowned for his heart melting kirtans. He will be leading us into bhajans and kirtans at the festival.

Yours in the service of Lord Krishna,

ICF-team.

PS: Please invite your family and friends for this event.

Indian Cultural Fest 2010 - Appeal

Dear Sponsor prabhu/mataji,

Hare Krishna!

We hope everything is fine with you and your family.

Sri Krishna Janmashtami is one of the most celebrated events for Indians and is a great opportunity to pray and receive the blessings of lord Krishna.

Over the years, our group of devotees have been hosting a festival to celebrate this blessed event together.

Krishna speaks in Bhagavad-Gita, that one who gives this message of Gita to others is most dear to Me. In order to give an opportunity to more Indians and also to make a presentation to the locals of Pittsburgh city about Lord Krishna, we began to celebrate His Birthday in a big way by making this a cultural event.

In order to continue this effort, we plan to launch the SECOND Annual "India Cultural Fest 2010" on Sept 25th, Saturday in S.V.Temple auditorium, Monroville.

The event will start at 4pm and ends with dinner prasadam at 8pm. Please refer to http://folkpgh.com for more details of the event.

PLEASE MARK YOUR CALENDAR AND JOIN US FOR THE FESTIVAL.

In order to make this festival possible, we need help to cover the costs for renting the auditorium, prasadam distribution and other miscellaneous expenses.

With your generous support we can make this event a success. We are requesting a donation of $108 from interested families to help us with this purpose.

Please visit our webpage at http://folkpgh.com/donate/ if you are interested. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact Parthasarathi Katari at: sarathi1@yahoo.com or @ 724.584.8740

You will be participating in the most glorious effort of connecting thousands of people to Lord Krishna through your offering. Thank you very much for joining us in Celebrating Lord Krishna's Birthday.

Yours in the service of Lord Krishna,
