Memorial Service for Pradyumna "Bobby" Palagudu

Memorial Service for Pradjumna Paladugu

Hare Krishna Dear Devotees:

As most may know by now, Pradjumna, affectionately known as "Bobby" and Bob, the 19 year old son and only child of Prasad and Prasanna Paladugu, inexplicably died by his own intention Monday afternoon, May 17th, in Pittsburgh. The entire family has been part of the greater New Vrindaban Community since he was 12 years old and in fact, he had been the most enthusiastic to participate in every aspect of devotional activities. The past two years, he was a pre-med college student as he entered into his young adulthood. By all accounts, he was a beloved son and enormously well liked friend and peer. His influence extended to his past high school crowd into his newer college environment and his peers were from many diverse ethnic backgrounds. He was known as a "giver', someone who was "always there for you, no matter what."  No one could think of any dark corners in his life, thus his departure remains a mystery, known only to him. He carefully planned each detail of his departure, particularly insuring that his body would be found in a timely manner from the moment of death as he desired to donate all organs, skin, bones, etc. as a final gift of life to unknown recipients. He would have turned twenty on June 11th. He was known for being sensitive but at the age of 19, one is not emotionally developed to comprehend the impact and long term effect of ones actions. Thus, beginning with his parents and other family members, his friends, and the local devotees there is immense sorrow in the wake of his untimely departure. We have the shelter of the Holy Name and immortal teachings of shastra given by Srila Prabhupada and the previous acharya's to guide us and give us solace in such times and it is meant to be shared. Please plan to attend Pradjumna's memorial, giving strength through your loving presence and shared wisdom.
